Watch James May Unbox a Yaris GRMN

James May is one of the most well known and respected auto journalists and he's recently uploaded a video of himself unboxing the Yaris GRMN. Have to admit that he does an excellent job making a somewhat menial task very entertaining. Would love to hear his impressions from a test drive as well.

Wouldn't it be neat if this was an option for all car deliveries. I know it would be extremely wasteful, but you have to admit it would bring more satisfaction to picking up a new car. Nothing like unwrapping something for the first time.

Sadly guys like this lost the marketing appeal they once had. Getting a vlogger like Shmee150 or Salamondrin that people can actually relate to does far more for getting the message out.

As the majority of GRMN models are already accounted for, Toyota isn't relying on a video like this for marketing purposes. I personally find this more interesting then just another run of the mill review from Doug Demuro.

I agree. It's a fun, unique take on a car review and most GRMN's have already been sold. Was hoping for a follow up where we could see him give it the beans.

Good idea, executed badly. He should've bothered to remove the license plate to make it little bit realistic.

Now if we can see Chris Harriss unbox and drive the GRMN that would resonate with owners on a far deeper extent and those wishing for more GRMN products.

Top Gear has gone really downhill the past few seasons imo and it seems that the Grand Tour is taking a similar nosedive. Plenty of great automotive coverage up on YouTube these days though.

For anyone that remembers back when the 86 came out, CH's review was one of the best. You don't get 11k likes and 366 dislikes for no reason
In fact it convinced me to buy one while Scion was still around.
